The Rev. Nile Gomez
Associate Pastor
The Rev. Nile Gomez became a Christian in his early 20s through the witness of some friends. He earned his B.A. in Psychology at New Jersey City University in Jersey City, NJ, where he also served in campus ministry as President of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship chapter on campus.
After graduating, he lived and worked in South Florida as a caseworker at the Miami Rescue Mission, where he led discipleship counseling groups for homeless men struggling with mental illness and/or substance abuse.
He earned his M.A. in Biblical Interpretation at Regent University in 2012 and was ordained as a Deacon by the Anglican Church in North America in 2014, and as a Priest in 2019. In 2020 he joined Church of the Messiah as Associate Pastor.
He and his wife, Doris, have been married for 20 years and live in Chesapeake.
